The Grand Social Debate

Universities have always played an important role in their communities and have often been at the forefront of innovation and enterprise.

Now, more universities are identifying themselves a social enterprise, and with Plymouth University being the first university in the world to be awarded the Social Enterprise Mark, some consider this the opening of the floodgates for other universities to set the same precedence.

In a landscape where students pay up to £30,000 for their degree, we ask, can universities really be considered a Social Enterprise?

This panel will take place in ELG03, Drysdale Building.
